Decluttering and organization

Whatever the reason for it, clutter can have a big impact on your ability to feel at home in your home. First, we'll discuss your wants and needs for your space and come up with a plan of action tailored to your unique situation, budget, and desired outcome. Next, we can schedule organizing sessions where we will sort through and purge belongings, reorganize what's left, and most importantly, develop systems to keep it that way!

I try to work with what you already have: baskets, bins, existing shelving, etc., before encouraging you to buy new products. Once you've had a chance to test out your systems for yourself, we can evaluate whether or not they need tweaking or continued maintenance.

Life transitions

Whether you're getting ready to welcome a new baby, downsizing after retirement, moving homes, or adjusting to a new personal health reality, you're going to have to figure out what to do with all your stuff. Start your new phase in life with a functional, organized space that does exactly what you need it to! Skip the chaos and stress that can often accompany major life changes and let me help manage all the moving pieces. This can include things like packing and unpacking, transforming a space in your home for a new use, setting up new home systems, or accomodating medical equipment.

End of life preparation

Preparing for end of life comes with a whole set of emotions, complications, and overwhelm, but it doesn't have to be that way. Following the principles of "Swedish Death Cleaning", a term coined by Margareta Magnusson, you can work toward the legacy you want to leave behind by intentionally decluttering or re-homing some of your possessions, and creating a plan for what's left. Through doing the often hard work of addressing a lifetime full of stuff (and inevitably, your own mortality!), Magnusson argues that you can better prepare yourself and your loved ones for one of the only certainties on this Earth. Despite its name, this process can take place at any stage of your life.

Alternatively, if you are facing the next steps after the loss of a loved one, you don't have to do it alone. Going through the grief process while trying to figure out how to take care of everything that's left behind when somebody passes away can feel impossible. But taking one step at a time, we can ensure that your loved one's legacy will live on, while lessening all the things you will have on your plate in the aftermath of their death.
